History of the Journal
Aims & Scope
The Social and Management Scientists (TSMS) is a yearly Journal published by the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria. It is an international peer reviewed journal that integrates knowledge (concepts and theories) and publishes the finest scientifically written, evidence-based theoretical and empirical articles from all disciplines of social sciences (e.g., economics, political science, sociology, geography, sociology, psychology), management sciences (e.g., accounting, banking and finance, business administration, public administration), health behavior, humanity research, and others on the basis of their originality, importance, interdisciplinary interests, and innovative conclusions. The aim of the journal is to communicate the scientific contributions of the social and management scientists to the global audience. The journal also hosts International and National Conferences to publish their research work in special editions.
The Social and Management Scientists is dedicated to (i) efficiently and promptly publish manuscripts that will advance scientific knowledge in social and management sciences and that will help social and management scientists in their teaching and research and career development, (ii) focus on interdisciplinary techniques and state-of-the-art research in social and management sciences, (iii) be at the forefront of publishing and debating contemporary issues in social and management sciences, (iv) be the first choice of authors in disseminating their research findings and the most influential and widely read social and management science journals. Social and Management Scientists worldwide are invited to submit manuscripts and serve as peer reviewers.
Call for Papers
The Social and Management Scientists invite you to submit your research work through Email at [email protected] It is strictly advised to submit original and plagiarism free manuscripts only for possible consideration; else they will be rejected without any response. All received manuscripts will go through Double Blind Peer Review and final decision shall be based on the high level of quality, originality and additional contribution to the existing knowledge. Very Important: Article/s submitted to TSMS, cannot be submitted/presented anywhere else by author/s, unless such article is rejected by the Editorial Team of TSMS. Articles accepted for publication normally will not be withdrawn or be presented in any other journal/conference/magazine/or any media without written permission of TSMS.
Note for contributors:
i. Manuscripts should include Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Concluding Remarks with References section.
ii. The Manuscripts must be based on original research, which has not been published or submitted inn par or whole for journal publication. All submitted manuscripts will undergo peer reviewed process and shall be subjected to plagiarism test before such manuscripts are accepted for publication.
iii. Manuscripts for submission should not be more than 18 pages on A4 size paper (and NOT MORE THAN 5, 000 in word length).It should be typed double-spaced with margins of 1.0 inch (2.54cm) on all sides. The type face should be Times New Roman and font size of 12.
iv. The abstract of about 200 words should be typed on a separate page; it should summarize the article’s essential points in Italics and be written in Past tenses.
v. The author’s institution, affiliation, and other necessary information should appear on the title page.
vi. References for quotations or statements should follow the latest edition of APA style of referencing.

Peer Review Process
The Editorial Board of the journal will immediately screen all manuscripts submitted for publication in Social and Management Scientists. Articles which fail to meet the scientific standards of the journal may be declined without further review. Those manuscripts which satisfy the requirements of the Editorial Board will be sent out for peer review to a maximum of three anonymous reviewers. These are experts in the field who have agreed to provide a rapid assessment of the article. Every effort will be made to provide an editorial decision as to acceptance for publication within 4-6 weeks of submission. Reviewers may request a revision of the article to be made. In this case, it is generally understood that one revised version can be considered for a further appraisal under the peer-review system. The Editorial Board of the journal is responsible for the final selection of reviewers to conduct the peer review process for the journal.
Article Processing Charge:
Authors pay a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover the costs of peer review process and management, professional production of articles in PDF and other formats. The APC for article submission- Nigeria: N25,000:00, Outside Nigeria: $100 USD.
The Social and Management Scientists will not assume any sort of legal responsibility or liability for material considered to be defamatory or any personal injury and property losses or for obtaining any copyright permission necessary for publication of articles.
